Devil's Blade Unlimited Reading - Book Review

Devil's Blade" is the latest of Michael Chiklis and Kevin Dunn's Sword Coast series. The first novel in the series was called "The Desolate Area". I don't normally like crime novels, but this one definitely held its own. The story is about a man called Daniel Cross, who is found dead in a dumpster behind a convenience store.

Days later, his body is discovered near the scene of another murder-at-work. Detectives detective Renee Martone and her partner, detective Jeff Temple are assigned to the case. Together they learn that the killer is connected to two other murders-of men named Mark Stansfield and Jacob Shields, also of the Sword Coast. Click here for more details about 鬼滅の刃漫画全巻

Temple and Martone discover that the killer frequents a bar called the Devil's Fist. He routinely comes back to the bar after hours and kills two of the waitstaff while only getting away with one. In addition, he leaves behind a bloody glove.

After several frustrating days, Temple decides to meet the bartender. At first he doesn't want to reveal his identity, however, when the bartender does give him the name of one of his victims, he has no choice but to reveal his identity. This prompts the bar manager to ask some pointed questions about why a customer would be drinking alone at a bar. Temple discovers that the bartender wasn't always very good at remembering things.

While I didn't enjoy the beginning of the novel, I soon found myself enjoying it immensely. It quickly became a favorite among my friends and I recommend it highly to those looking for an enjoyable urban fantasy novel. Even if you haven't read any of the prior books in the series, I would still suggest you pick this one up because of its premise.

The premise of the story makes for an interesting read. If you have never read any of James Patterson's prior novels, I would suggest you start with A Dark Place, Mindtaker, and Dead Man's Rule before going into the Hard Way. If you have read other Patterson novels, I recommend you start with the master of dark fantasy, Deceived or High Blooded. Regardless of your preferences, this is one of the best books from Patterson in all of his novels.

One of the greatest strengths of this novel is the intricate and vivid artwork. The drawings in this one are very striking. There are also many descriptions of high places that are truly amazing. When I first finished reading the novel, I couldn't find the actual scene that had caused me to read so much because of its description. Luckily, there were other scenes and locations that I was able to identify with and place them in the novel seamlessly.

Despite its short length, this novel keeps you reading until the very end. The entire plotline is intriguing and engrossing. The characterizations are well done and the plot progresses at an interesting pace. If you enjoy fantasy novels with a bit of horror mixed in, then I would recommend this one. Even if you aren't a horror lover, you will still find this one intriguing and will finish it in a matter of time
