Using a Vacation Tracker For Employee Time Offs

Time off requests made by employees are recorded in the Incentive Time Off Tracker (I Toledo) system. This software can be installed on the computers of the employees who need time off. The I Toledo system also has a module that creates holiday requests for the managers. This module creates an interface for managers to search for holiday requests made by employees. An employee's vacation request is entered in the system when the employee logs in after the holidays.

The tracker can be integrated with the payroll system and once the employees create their login page, the system will automatically populate the tracker with the relevant information. The basic mechanism that the tracker template uses is to create formulas that generate reports from the time records that are entered. The Department of Human Resources (DHR) and the labor relations department can use the same template to create a report that tells the workforce about the terms of a layoff or separation agreement. When employees request time off, the HR department sends an electronic request to the employee's bank and savings and loans to inform them of the request. The savings and loans department send an electronic notification back to the employee's bank informing them of the request to their bank. This report contains all of the information that is required for the human resources department to verify whether the request for leave was approved.

If an employee wants to request paid time off, the human resources department will use the Tracker template to generate a report that tells the employee how much time they have been allotted for paid leave. This report can also contain the sections required by the employment act to manage time off requests. The report will also contain the sections required to manage times off policies that the employee has requested. It will contain sections that require the employee to confirm they understand and accept the policy before the policy is waived and takes effect.

One of the advantages of the HR or labor relations department being able to track vacation leave requests is the easy ability to determine which employees need to be given extra time off. In the past it was necessary for the HR department to divide up the vacation days among different employees. Now, with the vacation tracker employees can be better managed by placing the most demanding days into different bucket groups. The HR team will be able to give fair notice to employees of their upcoming vacation requests.
